Indica-Dominant Hybrid
Mendocino Purps
Mendocino Purps (also known as Mendo Purps or The Purps) is a legendary indica-dominant hybrid hailing from Mendocino County in Northern California's Emerald Triangle. It originated as a clone-only cultivar in the late 1990s/early 2000s before BC Bud Depot stabilized it into a seed line. It won High Times Cannabis Cup recognition in 2007 and 2009, cementing its status as an old-school California classic. Its genetics stem from an inbred indica landrace crossed with an unknown sativa. The strain is prized for its striking purple coloration at maturity, rich grape-and-berry aroma, and a deeply relaxing yet mood-lifting effect profile.
