Edelweiss (literally 'noble white') is a rare, indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain named after the iconic white flower of the Swiss Alps. Originally associated with Amsterdam's Dutch breeding scene, it is bred from a triple cross of Hindu Kush, North Indian, and Skunk No. 1 genetics. Its dense, forest-green buds are famously coated in a thick, frosty layer of milky trichomes that mirror the appearance of its alpine namesake. The high is described as extremely heady — deeply relaxing and body-sedating, with cerebral effects that leave consumers calm, content, and mildly spacey. Best suited for evening or nighttime use due to its sleep-inducing qualities. THC levels have been recorded up to 21%.
